Then after a little while i get A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the problem and notify you if a solution is available. Could somebody please give me a hand with this? |

| Please post the laptop specs. Given that it's a Home Basic machine, it may simply not have the horsepower to play CS.
Also, Nvidia and AMD/ATI are constantly posting updates to their drivers -- nearly always to correct problems with games. Is your machine running ATI or Nvidia graphics?

| Are you running the steam version of Cs1.6? If so, it's probably not the laptop. Just go to your steam user folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\\) then go into counter strike folder. And delete cstrike. This sounds drastic but it isn't. You wont lose anything, steam will extract the cstrike folder again on next start up, it wont take that long, just the game might start up slow the next time.
