| The situation:
.I had Windows 7 Beta running (all great! besides the printer spooler!).
.I needed Windows XP for some reason (long story)
.I installed XP on the same C:\ drive; but in a different folder.
.As so-feared, I lost the boot loader of Windows 7; only XP running now!
You know the question now..
What is the easiest and best way for dual-boot options?
(PLEASE try giving in a solution in which i don't have to re-install either of them:/)

| You really think that Windows can handle more than one OS installed to the same partition???
If you're going to run multiple OS's, you need to have multiple partitions. Dual-boot requires separate partitions for each OS.
When you reinstall Windows 7, notice the option of creating a recovery CD -- and do that. You will then be able to boot from that CD and restore your Windows 7 boot loader.
We have a pinned post here on dual booting Vista and XP but we have our hands full trying to help folks with Vista problems and can't providing ongoing support for Windows 7 as well.
