I just got my pc and first thing iv wanted to do was put in a second SATA HDD but when i go to disk management to create a new volume I right click but the options are all shaded in and Im pretty sure its reading the HDD since it shows up and i can hear it on my pc is a vista home premium i am the only user/admin and pretty sure its not the services or processes but i can be wrong if someone can help me or correct me what should i do heres a SS of it

Make sure that you're logged in under the default Administrator account -- that's not the same as your user account. You have to unhide and activate the default Admin account before you can use it. We have a pinned post in the forum describing how to do that.
