I woke up this morning and turned on my system and received this message after POST:

"Reboot and Select proper Boot Device"
"or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a Key"

I have two hard drives in the system and the BIOS sees them at the moment. No mechanical sounds indicating a drive failure and both drives are spinning at the moment. I tried disconnecting the 2nd drive (D to see if I could boot off of C: without it - no luck. Any idea on what happened here?

Any help would be appreciated!

ASUS P5K Pro Mobo

Intel Q9450 Quad Core

4GB RAM

2 Seagate 750GB Drives

Nvidia 8800GT

Sounds like either your MBR or boot loader got hosed. Insert your Vista DVD, boot from it, and choose startup repair.

ASUS A832nSLI-Deluxe, AMD 64X2 4400 OC 2.4GHz, 3GB OCZ,
Running: Windows 7, Vista 32-bit, Ubuntu 8.10, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
