Let's start by finding out what you have first ...

Do you have an installation CD that came with the router?

Do you have the User's Manual or a setup guide?

Do you have a wired internet card/jack on your PC that you can use?

Do you have some networking cable?

What version of Vista are you using?

Basically, since you'll need to be connected to the router using a wired connection in order to setup wireless, so you'll need to do the following:
1) Plug a network cable into one of the router local ports (not the WAN port)
2) Plug the same network cable into your PC
3) Turn on the router, wait a minute or two
4) Turn on the PC, wait until you get into the desktop
5) Open a command window and type "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes)

You should then get some lines of text and one of them will tell you your local IP address. I should be something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

Read the manual that came with the Netgear router. Follow the directions. That's the best way.

Tammi:

You came with a post two weeks ago, I responded with some questions -- you provided no answers at all. If you're not going to provide any feedback, we can't help you.
