| | | | Running Vista Home Edition 32 bit that came pre-installed on a new computer.
I downloaded a registry repair program and installed it. It appeared to be
essentially the same as a registry repair program I already have so I
uninstalled it. But now I can't get rid of the shortcut icon on the desktop.
When I drag it to the Recycle Bin or try to delete it I get an "Item Not
Found" message.

Sometimes you need to logoff and back on or reboot to make it disappear after
you delete it.

Right-click empty Desktop>Refresh, or hit F5
