Have you tried searching for the file using Windows Explorer?
In future, you might consider creating a folder on your hard drive, then
designating that folder as the location for the file when you download.

IE7 will save to the last folder you selected/saved to.
Firefox has a setting for a permanent folder location.
Tools - Options - Main
Downloads
(.) Save files to _________
--or--
( ) Always ask me where to save files
