Sorry. Your question isn't clear.
Are you talking about burning a music CD to play on a "personal" CD player
or are you talking about formating music files to play on a "personal" MP3
player?

I have a similar problem.
In the past 3 montns, I've burned at least half dozen CD's via the Media
Player on my laptop and they play on my car CD player AND my 5 carousel
player on my home stereo.
Now the CDs I burn, play only on my car CD player.
