| | | | Here is what I want to do:
Install vista ultimate x64 on my computer.
Here is what I have:
vista ultimate 32 cd and valid key
vista business 32 cd and valid key
vista home premium x64 and valid key
Is this possible:
boot from home premium x64 cd and type in my ultimate key to install
ultimate??
I have heard that the key is the same for 32 or 64, the real question is
does the home premium cd have all the editions on it.

The 32 bit Vista installation DVDs will install what ever version of Vista
32 bit you have a key to install on either a 32 bit or 64bit capable system,
The Vista 64 bit install DVDs will only install the 64 bit version of Vista
on a 64 Bit CPU system.

Yes, if you have an x64 RETAIL dvd you can use it with your Vista Ultimate
full edition product key to install Vista. All retail x64 dvds are the
same. It is the product key that selects the edition while the x64 dvd
automatically installs the 64bit version of whatever edition the product key
is for.
Is your Vista Ultimate a standard license (aka "full") or upgrade? What
does it say on the box? Are your dvds all from retail, boxed copies of
Vista?
btw, you keep mentioning "cd". I assume that is just an oversight. There
are no Vista x64 cds.
