Since I got this computer for my parents for Christmas, they have been unhappy with Vista as well due to the slow/freezing internet problem. I have one vista computer, 2 xp computers and one linux computer and the vista one is the only one with the problem. My mother will go to pay her bills and it'll take 15 minutes because web pages will load and freeze and sometimes they'll just zip right through. I dont know what the problem is but its not the connection. It lies with Vista. My mother is starting to say she was happier with the compaq 700MHz on Win98SE because that computer didnt have this problem. I bought this computer with a dual core AMD CPU and even added another gig of ram to make it 2GB just because I heard Vista was such a hog, and it still runs slow. Bootup is slow, internet is unpredictable, and I still cant get the network working, but thats in another post. Please help with the internet freezing problem. I have already downloaded mozilla thinking the problem may have been with IE7, but it didnt fix the problem.
