Trying to dual boot vista/xp. although ive found hundreds of how to's and instructions on this topic, im still stuck with the following problem. vista came pre installed on my system and i don't have a disk to restore vista's boot loader after xp install. can anyone tell me if they know of a way to do this without the vista disk.

First, you need to make recovery discs for Vista. Which you can do in Vista.

Start, All Programs, Recover Manager, Advanced Options then Recovery Disc Creation. Follow the step by step directions from there.

Then, you can go to Disk Management and create a partition for XP. And finally install XP.

I found this, Hope it helps
