| Two of my kids, 17 and 23, were checking out the new Mac OS X guided tour on the Apple website. They both now want a Mac!!! Apple has done a great job of marketing their new OS of late. My question is: Since Vista is supposed to be so great, where is Microsoft's guided tour of Vista to make them want Vista????
The 23 year old got a great deal on a HP laptop at Thanksgiving. It has Vista Home Premium, which evidently has media center as well. BUT, HOW DO YOU USE IT?
Apple's guided tour does a great job of explaining how use the basic desktop, but the only thing I found from Microsoft was the reasons I should get Vista, not showing how easy it is to use Vista, or how much easier than XP it is.
When will you learn, Bill, that real people use your computer OS and it should be easy, stable and safe?

| | Vista is easy, it's intuative unlike Macs, very stable and the help files are there for you to read about anything you are unsure of. I take it your children are going or are already into publishing which is the only reason I can think anyone would choose a Mac over a PC, or they know very little about either and believe the silly adverts that Apple have been making, trying to run other peoples products down is hardly a way to promote your own, especially when the scripts are based on misinformation and presented by 2 useless comedians. Anyway all the 'how do you.........' files are under start\help then key in words for the subject or feature you are having difficulty with, there is a complete set of instructions and hints and tips on how to get the best out of Vista. There is a useful axiom for times like this, "when all else fails.........read the instructions".
