| I've just installed ADS Instant Music to transcribe my old LPs to CD. This came with Nero6 and when I try to use it I get to the Recording Console and then try to enter the Audio Input Line and all it offers me is Microphone, no Line input, and when I click Digital Monitoring no sound comes through.I haven't even got a Microphone, so this is particularly annoying!
Any ideas what is going wrong? Being a non tech wrinkly I'm not deep into computer technology, but I've followed the instructions carefully, to the extent of trying it on both my PC and my wife's, with the same result on each.

| | Hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately Nero 6 does not work properly (in some cases at all) in vista. Ahead (company which makes it) said they want everyone to get the new Nero 7 instead because they just want to piss everyone off and get more money. I was fortunate to get nero 7 free with a dvd burner shortly after getting vista so I didn't need to pay for the upgrade. To add insult to injury there is hardly anything better in nero 7 than nero 6 which makes the forced upgrade even worse.

Asus-SLI Deluxe, AMD x2 4400 (oc'd to 5000), x1900xtx (oc'd), 2GB Corsair XMS RAM 2-3-3-6 (4x512), 500GB Maxtor HDD w/ 32mb cache, 300GB Maxtor HDD w/ 16mb cache, Creative Audigy 4 (Daniel Driver Set), HVR-1100 Dvb-t hybrid TV card, 580W Hiper Type M PSU. 5.0 score on Vista Ultimate x64, 6040 3DMark 06' score on XP |
