I am using Windows Vista and I am trying to import contacts from my Palm to
my Outlook 2007?

I have done the following and I cant seem to get all the information into my
Outlook contacts.

I have exported my addresses from Palm Desktop into Excel saved as
Contacts.csv. In my Excel I have created the headers with the proper fields
for each column. When i go to Import the .csv file from Excel into my outlook
I am only getting the first 3 columns from my list? These only include the
names, no phone numbers or addresses, etc.

I have tried mapping but I am not getting the proper fields in the mapping
area. Can someone please help me?

Thanks

Use Outlook to export a sample 'mycontacts.csv' file. Open it in Excel. Also
open the Palm 'Contacts.csv' in Excel. You will probably find the order of
the fields/headers are not the same. Re-arrange the order of the fields in
"Contacts.csv" to match the order of the fields in your sample
'mycontacts.csv'.

Thanks Mark, I tried what you suggested and yes the order of the fields are
different, so I rearranged the fields and then I had nothing in my Outlook?
When I imported it into the Palm it worked perfect though.

It says I have contacts, the little contacts Icons are there all 354 it
says, but no info is next to them. When I click on one of the Contact Icons,
it opens to the contact info screen of that contact but nothing is in there?
Is it something in my fields in my outlook, can I change the fields or
display etc in there?

Any other suggestions?
Thanks Again;

No, I would have expected Outlook to see and import the re-arranged Palm
export, not the other way around. I would guess some field is missing from
the cvs file.
