Make sure that the default location for downloads is Desktop.
2. Find the specific update on the Microsoft webstie (you may find it
easiest to write down the update number when the automatic
installation starts).
3. Download it; when the dialogue box pops up, check "save to disk".
4. Go to your desktop and double click the icon for the Download.

This worked like a charm for me and took only 5-10 minutes, including
figuring it out and rebooting after the successful installation.
Windows Update Error 800B0100 Help

Hello. Recently, I tried updating my Vista, and upon doing so I got the 800B0100 error code. What should I do? Anybody have any suggestions? Already tried turning off the programs and everything... it says it's going to install them, but it can't find them. Is there a place I can just manually download? Help please..
