The shift feature in XP only made it so programs listed in your run folder didn't run, not registry items so it was fairly useless.

Temporarily prevent startup programs from loading on system boot

Hello all,
I'd like to find a way to prevent Vista from loading stuff in the startup folder for one boot only. I don't want to clear the junk from startup or disable it with msconfig, because I want my startup programs to be there next time I boot. In XP you could just hold down the shift key while Windows loaded the desktop, but this doesn't work in Vista. Any suggestion?
Thanks,
Kent
