Many pages are messed up and do not submit forms correctly even in IE7 Emulate mode. I suppose you could always install it and then uninstall if you want to just check it out. If you have firefox then you should be allright.
Yea, it replaced IE7 for me, too. And I have some issues with it rendering pages. The crashes don't happen as often now. But, I am forced to use Firefox on a few sites. Oh well. It's beta! :)

The IE7 Emulation works, but still not 100% good yet. This version is aimed at developers, and another update is coming that is aimed at the general public. That one should be a bit better.

Oh well, I guess thats the price to pay to be on the bleeding edge!

RE: Download IE8 Beta 1!

UPDATE: I highly suggest not installing this if you rely on IE for a lot of things. Not a lot of visual changes, but it works. I do notice that some websites crash the browser or render it differently than Firefox or IE7. But, overall, a nice update.

Download IE8 Beta 1!

Microsoft's IE8 page is up with download links to boot.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/ie8/readiness/Install.htm
