Same here, sometimes I get spurts where I want to play xbox for a month or so then I dont play it for a few months because it gets boring and then I'll come back again and play it for a month. Its wierd. I really only play one game tho, and thats Forza Motorsport. I dont know what it is but I love this game.

I have had a 360 from launch (uk). It was replaced once due to a graphics problem and the new one has been fine ever since.

Currently part way through Oblivion but really I have hit a gaming lull at the moment and not much interested in games. It will come back, it usually does.

July onwards is going to be an exciting time for 360 users and games will start to flow more. Looking forward to it.

Ha, thats funny. Sony does have track record of over promising and under delivering on technical performance, but thats pathetic. The 360 is blowing it away by almost 500% in certain categorys. Then again it all comes down the games in the end.

I heard the 360 price drop wont be comming until the ps3 is released, since they are pretty much alone in the market there really is no need to drop it when there are no competitors out there. I do stand behind MS's xbox live it will probably go down in the books as one of the best online gaming communitys. As was said above it just works flawlessly and they have a lot more experience then Sony does in this department mainly due to its early arrival in the orignal xbox scene. Games for Games I bey they will be somewhat equal, I do hope sony takes care of that shitty anti-aliasing that was in the original PS2 everything was jagged, which was a main reason why I orignally bought my xbox over te ps2..Thats and the ability to put a modchip in it w/ just a coupel screws...:D

Haha yes... game consoles something i know well.

According to my sources... Mainly PR releases, Summaries from companies, and information released. As said earlier the price will range from $499 to $799, but also the games are going to cost around $80 a piece because of the new technology.

The new technology in the PS3 won't account for much, as alot of it made for its new media cabilities. Much like they tried to do with the PSP, the PS3 is NOT going to be just a gaming system, they are trying to add o so much more (They tried to make it a home router/switch system at one point but that was dropped as it would have increased the costs even higher)

Yeah, it may have some neato features, but its not going to be any more powerful then the Xbox 360 in the gaming area. I'd wait a little while for the 360 bugs to be fixed and for it to be cheaper and it will work out. As of this point Microsoft has a rather good online community system with almost non existant lag capabilities.

My guess? Nintendo is coming back as a primary console and is going to compete with the 360 (Technically Nintendo didn't do to bad with the Gamecube although it wasn't "wanted" it was still bought as a second console) and the PS3 unless fixed is going to fail because of costs. With all this new technology you also have to understand its going to have a high chance of failure or bugged systems.

Hehe i could go on for a bit more about the companies, game developers, relations, technology, sales techniques, ect ect. But to answer the question... nope don't have a 360 i'm waiting for the bugs to be fixed, mods to be discovered, and a price drop :P

I'd say the only thing that would be unexpected in this area, that may make or break microsoft in the gaming department is a handheld system, something that only nintendo has been able to create succesfully.

Double post.Yeah.Sorry.

But same with the 360.

360 uses new chips and all not used in the original Xbox.The CPU is an IBM CPU, not an Intel.ATI made a GPU for the 360, not Nvidia.But Bluray is what going to hold PS3 back as well, mainly because of prices.But the Video card in PS3 isn't entirely new.It's archetexture is based off the 7800s GPU.I forgot the name of it, but the PS3s GPU is just a little more powerful 7800 basically when it comes down to it.

Not right now, because I don't have the money for it.But probably when a lot more games are on the list.Even though I've played Quake 4 on it.And I didn't get the FPS most people had on theirs, Quake 4 ran beautifully!!!Lots of people were having problems with Quake 4s FPS, I had none.

Both systems are pretty much going to be the same in power as well as graphics.
The big diffrence is that the PS3 is going to be running blue ray which could allow for higher bitmap resolutions.

But the strong point of the PS3 is also it's weakness, since blue ray is going to be expensive, the PS3 is going to cost somewhere between 499$ to 799$. Which makes it a bit too expensive for most people to consider it.

Some believe that sony will eventually drop the Blue ray technology, but we'll have to see.
Personally I'm going to be an owner of both.

I dunno, we'll see about that...:D They arn't really buggy that was only the initial batch and there was a patch released which was forced to be downloaded by almost all xbox users so it was taken care of and really only effected less the 1% of the systems on the market anyways. I've yet to see the ps3 specs but as of now xbox has consumed a lot of the market they virtually own it right now so It will be "harder" for sony to fight back since there consoel has been delayed so much.
