Don't send but receives OK. I tried everything I know, which aint much... I always get:

"Can not be send the media is write protected"

HP Deskjet 9650 Vista Help

I have a HP 9650 and am running Vista. I understand that the 9650 is not supported in Vista and recommends the Alternate 9800 Printer Driver. I had this installed and was working fine until this morning when I disconnected everything in order to move my computer around. Once I plugged everything back in, it wanted me to reinstall and then said couldn't find drivers. I have done exactly what the support page said, making sure it was not plugged in, loading and then connecting, then changing the Port from LPT1 to USB. It still does not recognize the printer and I get an error on the Test Page. Can anyone help?

canon printer emulation

I have a Canon Multipass C555 and the drivers wont work on Vista 64. I know I can use a canon BJC driver with parallel cable. but I do not know what model will emulate the multipass. Anybody know what BJC model to use?:w00t:

hp all in one c6380 wireless printing

I have a dell inspiron 1545 with Vista Home Premium Serv pack 1. I have an HP all in one c6380 working fine with my linksys router. Then one day I could not print anymore. Printer said off line when looking at the printers from control panel. I have other laptops that print fine. I have tried to delete the printer and reinstall, this has worked in the past. Now when I did this I get an error message that says "Cannot load wizard pages for standard TCP/IP port." I have read some things that maybe a registry key may need to be changed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

VISTA Ultimate Fax and Scan

Originall I did not select the "Fax and Scan" option during the Ultimate installation process.

I would like to add that now. How is that done? I do not see any provisions for adding something. Please be specific.

Hopefully it does not entail installing Vista all over again, there is not enough space for that.

programs crash when trying to print

I have a small home network. 2 Windows XP Pro machines and 1 Vista home machine. One of the XP machines is setup as a file and print server with a color Brother and b&w Canon laser printer and one inkjet. I have had this setup for some time now and have had no problems printing to the print server (XP) from the Vista machine until yesterday. The Vista machine also has a laser and a inkjet printer connected locally and works fine when printing. When I try to print on any of the network printers from any program (Office, Acrobat or even notepad), the program stops responding. The printer dialog will eventually display and you can click on the print button but nothing happens. You can access files on the Xp server fine. I have done a system restore on the Vista machine but nothing changed. I am stumped. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Vista Keeps Asking Me to Reinstall My Printer

Hello,

I have a HP Compaq Presario laptop, brand new, running Windows Vista Home Premium. I have correctly installed my printer (an HP 3100 Series) and all drivers. I don't have my laptop always connected to the printer. Every time I connect my printer to my laptop (same port each time), I have to reinstall the printer and drivers again and again and again. This is driving me crazy and I don't understand why this is happening.

Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks, appreciate it!

Problems with Lexmark X4530 Wireless printer

I have a Lexmark X4530 Wireless printer and i am trying to connect it to my Hp laptop with Vista using my Netgear wireless router.It connects to the laptop but when i try to print something it just makes a folder in the C drive and makes a file in it and does not print anything.The printer works when i use the USB cable but when it does not when i try do it without the cable with wifi.DO i need any USB wireless adapter for it or something or do i need to fix something in the laptop.

I have tried the original ones that work on Windows XP Pro, and Vista doesn't like them. Here are the errors we get in screen shots.

I have moved the files over from the en_US to the system32 folder. So this isn't the problem. I tried it with and without " "
