Problem solved. Removed static IP's, Uninstalled VMWare, and removed static IP on the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector.

One of these options worked:D.

Hello,

I have a PC with Windows Vista Ultimate and one with Windows XP Home SP2. I have been trying to share the printer that is connected to the XP computer.

My XP computer can see itsself and all the files/printers as well as Vista and all of it's files/printers in My Network Places, but the XP computer does not appear in Network on Vista (it does appear in the network map).

I have tried connecting by using \\pc name (in run) and \\pc name\printer name (in add new printer wizard) but it doesn't find anything on Vista, on XP it works fine.

I can also ping to both computers by computer name or IP. I have no firewall other than Windows Firewall, and both PC's have AVG Antivirus and Windows Defender. I have a router as well.

I have also installed the LLTDR on XP and enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP on both computers (this allowed me to reach Vista from XP).

I was also wondering what this is, it only seems to appear in network on my Vista computer. The other 2 are this PC and my router, as you can see the XP computer does not show up.

The reason the printer shows up on both PC's is because it is installed on both although I guess it doesn't have to be shared on Vista since I can't keep it up here. (I still had to print somehow)
