The only way to know for sure is to install and try each one.

What I do know about the products is the following:
1) Office 2K3 works OK in Vista, Office XP (2002) and prior have problems, especially Outlook
2) Paint Shop Pro v9 & 10 work in Vista; PSP 8 is known to be incompatible. Prior versions are probably "incompatible" as well.
3) WinAMP is up to version 5.53, and the current version is freely available. There are reports about the ealier versions of WinAMP 5 NOT working on Vista. So, your version almost certainly will not work.

RE: [SOLVED] Office 97 Pro & Paint Shop Pro 6 compatible ?

I thought you might say that, thing is I have invested in buying those versions and they do all I need them to do. Would they work in 'compatability mode' ?

Seems ridiculous that you have to buy new software just cos you get a new OS

RE: [SOLVED] Office 97 Pro & Paint Shop Pro 6 compatible ?

Short answer -- no, no, no.

The only stuff that is "fully" compatible with Vista is stuff that was written/updated specifically for Vista. You're several releases back in all the products you mentioned.

To see the list yourself, use the following link:

[url] http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/232602-44-list-vista-supported-hardware-software [/url]

[SOLVED] Office 97 Pro & Paint Shop Pro 6 compatible ?

Are Office 97 Pro & Paint Shop Pro 6 and Winamp 2.91fully compatible with Windows Vista ?

thanks
