In that case, contact the seller, and arrange for a repair or a refund. If they were so sloppy as to not confirm something so simple as a touchpad working, there's no telling how much else is "wrong" with it.

ALPS Pointer Driver not working

When I boot up my computer, after about 10 mins. there is an error box that pops up and says, "Alps pointer driver has stopped working, please close program" After that, I can't scroll using the touchpad anymore. I just got this new laptop and I have never had any problems with my desktop that uses XP, but this vista is really starting to erk me. Can anyone help me with this???
