Hi everyone! So here is the deal I know my computer will handle Vista but Im curious how well. I will be getting Vista Ultimate as this is what is available to me. My question is how well well my hardware handle it? Here are my specs.

AMD Turion 64X2 Mobile Technology
TL-50 1.6GHz 246KB + 256KB L2 cache, up to 1600MHz system bus
I currently have 1 gig DDR2 but am upgrading to 2 gigs DDR2 RAM
120 Gig Hard Drive 5400 RPM
and a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 Graphics Card with up to 128MB shared memory.

So what do you think. And yes I am not too technically savy when it comes to the parts of a computer.

Thanks for any input.

P.S. Love the site so far. Lots of good info to research!

CPU is medium, 2+ GHz is better.
2GB memory, especially DDR2, is fairly good.
GeForce card is low-end.

Generally, Ultimate will work well for you, but don't expect really good performance in high-end games -- not enough CPU and too low-end a graphics card for that.

Running: XP Pro, Vista Ultimate 32-bit, Vista Business, Ubuntu 7.10, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

Thanks for the help.  I will be using it mostly for school and photoshop.  Not really much gaming.  So I hope it will be ok for those purposes.  Any input about it runnning photoshop?
