It does on my PC2500E (VIA) board. I currently have a SATA hard drive and
PATA DVD writer. I've also had a SATA hard drive and PATA hard drive on at
the same time.

My particular mother board has 2 IDE ports AND 2 Sata ports so yes. And
if you don't have one or the other ports you can get adapters.
