| Try reinstalling the games. Wouldn't be too certain about FL as it is an older game but it should run. I know this is a stupid question but are you sure you downloaded the drivers for the right version? (32, 64bit) With me they work fine on what is suppose to be a crappy system. However i am running RC1 atm soon to be upgrading to Vista Ultimate at a bargain (a friend of mine offered me full retail box for 250 USD usually costs 750 here[no the friend isn't dodgy he is a fully certified server admin])

| | Hi, Vista is not for games at all... I have changed compatibilty modes etc to no avail... There are long list of very fundamental problems with Vista, like connecting to the internet, printer, mouse, clock never reads the right time... Have spent endless hours with Vista tech... They have one objective blame the vendors... Of when you talk to the vendors they are HOT!!!, their products worked fine until Vista came along... And then Vista blames them!!! I have been on the phone and countless forums and have not found one answer to the problem of games working... By the way Apple is no different, their recent operating update killed off their ability to load games and they too blame everyone... It must be nice to be a operating system developer... Take something that is working, revise it, destroy it, and then sell it as an improvement... |

| Woolie which version of vista are you running. Because i have ultimate and get no such problems. Seems to be just your computer. Now before you go blaming the world try comparing yourself with others. Nobody else seems to have as big problems as you.

| | First off i said it before, its not Microsoft's fault that the vendors haven't put out updates for THIER own games. Yes Vista is for games. I haven't had any problems running Quake4, Guild Wars, Unreal tournament 04, Hit Man, Need for speed most wanted, Far cry and Halo, all on Vista ultimate. Also i wouldn't have used an upgrade as an upgrade, that's part of your problem right there.
