| | I've been using vista on my laptop since it was released for download a few weeks ago and everything was going fine until today. When I started my computer I got the usual option to select to boot in classic windows or Vista. I select vista and as soon as I do the screen turns black and nothing happens. It doesn't seem that the hard drive is working. I manually restart and select to boot in xp but the same thing happens. I try safe mode and it freezes when it tries to load crcdisk.sys. I have tried booting from the vista disk I have but it freezes when it loads files at the beginning. I have also tried 2 different xp pro cd installations and they both get stuck at Kernel Debugger DLL. I can't really think of anything else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| | I guess it was a memory related problem. I added a 1gb stick of OCZ 4200 RAM a few days ago. When I took it out and put my old 256 stick in it worked. Kinda weird cause the OCZ RAM was working fine for several days. |
