| | Can anyone help me, I am trying to split a zip file into 2, as the email will only send 15mg my zip file is 19 mb, is there a tool you can use to split a small zip file as the ones I have tried say it is too small to split. It is a family tree data base file. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

| First suggestion is to try to post your requests to the proper forum. This forum is for introductions, not for technical questions.
As for splitting up a ZIP file, AFAIK, you could try HJ_Split. Google for it and download it. But realize that it just breaks a single file into pieces. The individual pieces can not be used without recombining the file -- and you then have to use HJ_Split to recombine it.
I'll be moving this post to the General Technical forum. Look for it there.

| The Folder Compression options in Windows will not let you break the file down, but Winrar will, as will later versions of Winzip (v9 or 10 I believe) as will 7-Zip
You do need all "pieces" and a similar program on the other end put it all back together again
