| | | | Hello,
I have a device I am trying ot connect with bluetooth. In it's instructions
it says (when connecting) "The secure connection on the laptop or desktop
must be disabled for the Destron Reader to properley connect to a computer.
For instructions on disabling this feature talk to your bluetooth device
software manual"
Now I am using the default windows drivers so that would be Microsoft. I
have checked with my laptop website and no specific drivers found. (I may
check again)
So the steps I do is find the device. Then choose to setup a connection
with it.
At the passkey part I choose "No passkey". The device connects and sets up
a comm port. (Comm3 out, comm 4 incomming).
Then when I open teh comm port to read in data windows asks for a "Passkey"
and there is no option to skip it.
In Windows XP there is a setting on the device that you can unckeck "Use
Secure Connection" and then it works (tested) but not on Vista.
When I am looking at the bluetooth device in the bluetooth device screeen it
says "Connected" "No Passkey".
Any help would be great.
P.S
O/S: Vista Ultimate 32 bit
Hardware: LG Laptop R700 series
