I've never encountered a problem with Windows automatic backup program,
until today. First, nothing about my settings or backup location have
changed. Its been running every day at midnight. BUT this morning i
found this error:

'[image:
http://www.vistax64.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4946&d=1215371273]'

Now, everything i see about my backup sets are present, including what
it says it can't find.

Has anyone run into this situation?

A shot in the dark is to ask if it might be possible that your backup
destination drive is full and has run out of space to accommodate your
latest backup?

There's not much point in posting a link that requires the viewer to log in
to see it

No, i have over 360GB of a 500GB drive remaining. The error tells me that it
can't find the last backup set, but its clearly there on the external drive.
I've been a defender of this basic backup function, so i'm still willing to
fix the problem before jumping ship...

My previous reply is appearing as a blank screen to me in the thread, so
forgive me if this is redundant.

But to answer this question, no i have over 364GB of a 500GB external drive
free and available. This is the same drive i've been using all along.

didn't realize i had done that...thanks. i just copy and pasted an image,
too used to regular forums i suppose. Basically the error simply stated that
it couldn't find the last backup set and to make sure it existed and was
accessible.

Why are you doing that? The forum you are using is quite different
from the REAL Usenet that it leeches messages from.

The only thing those of us in the REAL Usenet see is "bump".

Nothing else.

It's a meaningless post.
