If your PC died after 6 months then it is obvious the hardware was bad.

I'm a system engineer and I'll tell you right now that your problems sound
like bad hardware period.

In a way you are right, but then Windows Me was a very minor update in
comparison to Vista.

If you like your old operating system, then by all means use it, ... at
least as long as you can. Don't fret, be happy.

And what did the manufacturer(s) of these computers have to say when
you contacted them for warranty support of what is clearly defective
hardware?

Can't imagine how you'd think earlier machines' having functioned
properly would have any possible bearing on the reliable of your most
recent machines. You're clearly not taking a Logic or Critical Thinking
classes.

Hardly.

Another clear indication that your computer(s) have sub-standard
components.

You're trying to run Vista on a 6-year-old (that's 3 generations, in
computer terms) computer and are surprised that you're having problems?

Not when installed on compatible hardware.

Where'd you get that absurd idea?

Wow, Bruce's crystal ball is really cooking tonight!

Hey, can you look again and see what Bill Gates had for supper?

You jumping to conclusions IS logical? You fanboy clowns are all like.
It's never ever Microsoft's fault come hell or high water. It could be
hardware related but the FACT is you have no idea. Still that never
stops you from repeating the party line like some trained parrot.

You get paid to be a Microsoft shill?

Why do you ALWAYS act like a ass that pretends he knows everything?

I would agree that vista and most Microsoft software do have a lot of
problems!!

However, I would still give Vista some time.
I would rather evaluate each issue and find solutions, discuss/report in
forums/discussion groups.
Most of the time, I do find a solution!

I can afford to do this. Being an IT Professional, my profile demands me to
be ready for all new technologies!

Also, I enjoy it!!

That would be because Vista doesn't let you do that.

You have to approve all application installs.

If the users approves it then it's the users fault.
