Hi, I new to this sight and desperate for advice. I,ve only recently
come over to vista, and have had terrible problems with it. The latest
today is using my memory stick to prepare word documents. I can't seem
to save any changes it comes up there has been a fault and that all the
text will be lost, and that's exactly what happens. I can move old XP
word documents over into the stick and alter them although it won't
allow me then to save the changes. Please can someone offer some
assistance.

Word depends on several (I believe three) files in addition to your .doc
file. Never try to work on a word document that is not on your hard drive.
Move it from the memory stick to the hard drive, do all of your updates and
move it back to the memory stick.
