As PapaJohn correctly points out, this is a crash in the Indeo Audio Codec,
which should not be registered on Vista. Only bad codec packs would
probably do that. Either his solution or using the "Check for Solutions"
option in the Problem Reports and Solutions Center control panel should
provide you with a solution here. =)

Was the Problem Reports and Solutions Center response helpful here? It's a
little... simplified for the average end user, but I'm always curious as to
how readable those are to people.

I have the SAME crash problem w/ movie maker.. I have windows essential
codec pack 1.0 installed my question is can I just uninstall the pack to
fix the problem? another question why doesn't Microsoft just give us the
codecs w/ media player... real player plays my stuff.... GOM player
plays my stuff, media player classic plays my stuff... so why doesn't
microsoft give us the codecs THEN we wouldn't be downloading crappy
codecs that are messing up our systems!!!! I am sure the answer is MONEY
but does anyone really go BUY codecs? and thanks everyone on here for
your posts and replies.... it really helps people...
